2001 Photos - Annual Awards Banquet

This year's annual awards banquet was held at the Deep Cove Yacht Club. We had a huge turnout, with lots of food and great fun for all. Special thanks go to Barry McKnight, Sue Brain, and Master of Ceremonies Paul Wilson for all their efforts in organizing this event. Photos by Ian Harder.

	Doug Brain and Barry McKnight presented certificates to the many junior members who achieved various levels in our new certificate program.		Brian Walley Jr. and Cody Staley were jointly awarded the Most Improved Junior Skier award by Paul Fraser.
	Paul Fraser presents the Best Junior Skier award to the Long Sisters: Clarissa, Jessica, and Melissa.		Sue Brain won the Most Improved Skier award, presented by Paul Fraser.
	Paul Fraser presented Barry McKnight with one his two awards for the evening: Best Skier.		Lorne Staley was Best New Member, awarded by Barry McKnight.

	Ian Macdonald and Curt Larsen received the Dudley Award from Mike Ozanne for grounding Ian's boat at the point of Belcarra Bay late one night.		Petra Taylor received Den Mother award from Don Langford for spending more time at the club this year than all other members combined!
	Paul Wilson presents invisible member Dan Koven with his award.		The Don Langford Anal Award was awarded for the first time this year to... Don Langford! Paul Wilson presents Don with his plaque for keeping us all in line and making sure the skis are placed in the locker in precise size order.
	The VWSC was awarded the Brian Wiley Memorial/Best Stack trophy at the McIvor Lake Open this year. Here, Barry McKnight acknowledges Courtney Paterson, Robbie Paterson and Brian Walley Jr. for their efforts in that event.		Clarissa, Jessica, and Melissa Long present Ric Carrick was a token of their appreciation for coaching them this year.
